Library

A free library service is available to the people of the Ceduna District Council Area. Funding is provided by the District Council of Ceduna and the Ceduna Area School. Membership is FREE. When joining please present photo identification showing your current address.

All items are available for a four week loan period except DVDs. The local History Collection is only available for use in the Library.

Patrons can log onto their own Library account with their patron ID. There you can extend the due date of items you have, or request items from any other Public Library in SA. You'll be sent an SMS or email when it arrives in Ceduna. Contact the library if you don't know your PIN.

There is a returns chute located in the foyer. If you wish to return items after hours, a returns box is also located at the Ceduna Visitor Information Center, 58 Poynton Street, Ceduna.

Services we offer:

• Staff to help you access information and who also provide a wonderful readers advisory service

• Free internet access: wireless on your device or through our PC’s

• Access to Encyclopedia Britannica online FREE

• Audio copies of the West Coast Sentinel for sight impared

• Resources in languages other than English

• Adult large print books

• Audio Books and DVDs

• E-books and free digital magazines

• Access to on-line databases such as Ancestry.com, Reference and information services

• Access to 3 million items in libraries in SA through the OneCard

• Free video training through Lynda Library

Community Services:

• Housebound services to people who cannot get to the library

• Community and tourist Information

• Local History collection

• Storytime or STEM for preschoolers: contact the library to find a time to suit you

If you are unable to visit the Ceduna Library because you are sick, or for any other reason, we can bring the library to you.
